p4cNOW Program Description
The Right Plan takes you from the beginning of the college planning process, regardless of when you start, to the day that you walk into college.
The Right Plan provides programs, materials and support to help you figure out your major, build your study skills, understand the college application process and choose the best colleges for you.
The Right Plan helps you prepare for your standardized tests, guides you through the financial aid process, and leads you to what is available in need and merit based aid at your favorite schools.
The Right Plan will stay with you and your family throughout your 4 years of college, making available assistance with last minute college major decisions and your financial aid paperwork.
The Right Plan is supported with web-based technology, live on-line classes and 16 hours a day advisor availability via email and a toll-free number.
The Right Major provides each student with an online program which helps determine the best possible major, in order to select a Bachelor Degree Program. The student enters data about values and high school experiences during an electronic interview. Right Major will then analyze the data and suggests five majors to consider which match their interests and academic experience.
Right Major gives the student an advisement report that explains what these majors are, what types of courses would need to be taken to get a degree, what jobs are available to graduates with this major and some sample institutions that offer these degrees. Choosing a major before a student goes to college is the ultimate goal - but having at least 3 strong choices in one college can alleviate costly mistakes. Our students still have access to Right Major through their 1st year of college.
The Right College matches students to their TOP Colleges for which they are a potential fit and qualified for admission. Reports are generated that include all of the necessary information for the admissions process, including the available need and merit based aid awards and qualifications. These college summaries arm the students with all necessary information upon which to base their college decision, for both admissions and financial aid. To enhance the students’ ability to be accepted, Right College offers live on-line classes in test preparation and study skills. The courses provide live instruction complete with real time audio and visual interaction.
Right College - Test Prep, the students are place in a class based on their test-taking skills and each class has no more than 15 students. This program is available for PSAT, SAT and ACT exams. Our students will be directed to the program that will give them the best advantage based on the preferential colleges.
Right College - Study Skills students will learn a simple and efficient system for earning better grades in less time. Students will start by learning: “How am I smart?” Before you can be a successful student, you must believe in yourself, have confidence that you do have talents, and trust that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Specific components of this program beyond learning your own “smart self” are: setting and achieving goals, organizational skills and time management skills, note taking, test taking strategies and so much more. These are not prerecorded programs that students watch online, but live classes with certified teachers or degreed professionals with whom our student can speak to directly. Students who effectively use this component of the program can expect an increase in their GPA and test scores - two items that account for approximately 70% of merit aid award criteria.
Right Money - Financial Aid provides a comprehensive financial aid plan for families by means of a financial analysis which determines the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) and provides appropriate strategies for families to follow in order to position themselves for as much free money as possible.
Right Money - FAFSA 4Casting provide students with an online coach to walk them through the completion of the online FAFSA form so it is done properly and thoroughly.
Right Money - Merit Aid is a comprehensive website, presently under construction, where students and parents navigate to determine the available Merit Aid (free money that is awarded by the schools directly to the student). The search can be done by colleges, by geography, by majors, NCAA sports, grade requirements and test scores. This tool identifies the requirements for qualification for Merit Aid so students can truly plan their college future from a financial standpoint. For immediate Merit Aid information, the students are provided a detailed report on Merit Aid with their TOP Colleges search as part of Right College.
